Dr. Smith's arrangement of Antonin Dvorak's "Symphony #9 in E Minor from The New World, Op. 95"

Dr. Michael Huff of Utah State University provides valuable feedback to the band on their performance

Selma Band Review 2012
This 35-member band outscored bands in Division 2A and 3A. They had the third HIGHEST marching score of the ENTIRE COMPETITION, behind two bands that are quadruple their size!  
1.  Washington Union 187.5 (5A Band)
2.  Monache 186.5 (5A Band)
3.  MARIPOSA COUNTY 185.5 (1A Band)

The Mariposa Grizzly Band performs Armed Forces Medley at the 2011 Mariposa County Memorial Day Service



The Mariposa Grizzly Concert Band performing "Defense of Liberty" at the 2011 Forum Music Festival.  This piece was written by Dr. Phillip Smith, the band's director.


Here the band is playing its second piece at the Music Forum - "In the Steppes of Central Asia" by Alexander Borodin.
 


Finally, the band is playing its third (and last) piece for the festival - selections from "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky.
