Mariposa County High School Band, Mariposa, California

Melinda Marinoff introduces MCHS Band and honors Dr. Smith at Band of Pride Tribute in Times Square.

Over 1,500 high school musicians perform in the 2011 Band of Pride tribute in Times Square, including the MCHS Grizzly Band!

Representing Wounded Warriors, the MCHS Grizzly Band marched down 5th Avenue as part of the 2011 NYC Veterans Day Parade. It was a moment that made our small town community swell with pride.

MCHS Grizzly Band got up at 4:30am and walked to Rockefeller Plaza to be part of the Today Show audience outside of Studio 1A. Did you catch the MCHS shout out by Al Roker during the broadcast?

The MCHS Band was the only group to rely solely on fundraising to get the students to New York. Thanks to THOUSANDS of hours by stalwart volunteers and a generous community, the band made it.
