The Mariposa County High School Grizzly Band Boosters is a Section 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The mission and purpose of the Mariposa County High School Grizzly Band Boosters, Inc. is to endeavor to optimize each public school band member's learning experience, and to increase the realization of each band member's potential through the pursuit of musical excellence, by providing financial and practical support for the Mariposa County High School Grizzly Band and other public school performance-based music and related programs, activities and objectives.
1) To provide assistance to faculty and staff through organizational, logistical, financial and practical support for the band and music programs' endeavors;
2) To ensure band member health and safety by attending to vital functions, such as hydration, first aid and supervision;
3) To provide a Code of Conduct, or guidelines, to govern the interactions of booster members and parents, with band members (and faculty and staff,) to insure a proper instructional and supportive environment for each band or program member;
4) To discover and provide information for decision-making concerning booster actions based on appropriate provisions of the California Education Code, school district policies and rules; and any other legal provisions of other laws and policies as applicable to the decisions or actions in question;
5) To provide a self-sustaining organization, structured to provide, as required by law or the bylaws of this corporation, for the general, legal, financial and personal recordkeeping, reporting and other legal and administrative functions necessary to maintain the purposes and objectives, tax-exempt status and financial standing of this corporation;
6) To provide for a public relations function which shall advocate for band interests; promote, publicize and record band activities within our community and beyond; and coordinate with fundraising activities to present a unified, and positive, persona and message representing the mission and purposes of this corporation;
7) To provide for the dissemination of pertinent information to the membership of this corporation and band parents in order to: actively recruit for membership among broad-based segments of our community; to work to increase participation and volunteerism among the membership to accomplish the purposes and objectives of this corporation; and to work to create closer working relationships between students, parents, band directors, school administration, and the community at large;
8) To conduct fundraising activities in a fiscally responsible, business-like and conscientious manner; to provide financial support for the purposes, objectives and activities of this corporation; to provide California Education Code (sec. 35330 (b)(1)) mandated financial assistance for pupils in need; and to promote the future musical excellence of public school , performance-based music programs through the acquisition of higher quality instruments, materials, supplies, equipment and infrastructure.
